About the Company
Position Overview
We are seeking Instructional Designers with strong K–12 curriculum expertise who can identify, curate, source, and organize visual learning assets required to support lesson delivery.
This role combines curriculum understanding with visual learning design. The ideal candidate understands how students learn, what visual representations are most effective for different concepts, and how instructional visuals should align with curriculum expectations. They should also be comfortable leveraging modern AI-assisted content creation tools to generate or refine educational visuals when appropriate assets are not readily available.The primary responsibility is not lesson writing, but ensuring that every lesson is supported by the right visual assets to improve understanding, engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
1. Curriculum & Lesson Analysis
- Review curriculum-aligned lessons across K–12 subjects
- Identify concepts that require visual support
- Determine the most effective visual representations for different learning objectives
- Align visual recommendations with grade-level expectations and instructional outcomes
2. Visual Asset Identification & Sourcing
- Identify images, diagrams, illustrations, infographics, maps, charts, and other visual assets required to support lesson delivery
- Source suitable visual assets from approved repositories, libraries, and educational resources
- Identify situations where existing visual assets are insufficient and define requirements for creating new curriculum aligned visuals
- Leverage AI-assisted image generation tools and workflows to create conceptually accurate educational visuals when suitable assets are unavailable
- Review and refine generated visuals to ensure educational accuracy, age appropriateness, and instructional effectiveness
- Ensure visual accuracy, relevance, and curriculum alignment
3. Visual Asset Library Management
- Build and maintain a high-quality visual learning asset repository that supports curriculum-aligned instruction
- Ensure visual assets are organized, discoverable, reusable, and aligned to instructional needs
- Maintain consistency and quality standards across the visual asset library
- Identify gaps in visual coverage and proactively recommend assets required to support learning objectives
- Collaborate with Product, Curriculum, and Content teams to continuously expand and improve the visual learning ecosystem
4. Quality Review & Validation
- Review sourced and generated visuals for educational relevance and instructional value
- Ensure assets are age-appropriate, accurate, and aligned with curriculum expectations
- Validate that visuals support concept understanding and learning outcomes effectively
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Curriculum, Content, and AI teams
- Support the development of scalable visual learning experiences across subjects and grade levels
- Provide curriculum expertise for visual content creation initiatives

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in K–12 curriculum, instructional design, educational content development, or similar roles
- Strong understanding of curriculum frameworks and grade-level expectations
- Experience creating, reviewing, or supporting instructional materials
Preferred
- Experience with multiple curriculum frameworks (Common Core, State Standards, CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, ACARA, etc.)
- Experience working with educational visuals, diagrams, and learning resources
- Familiarity with AI-assisted visual content creation tools and image-generation platforms
- Ability to write effective prompts and guide the creation of curriculum-aligned educational visuals
- Experience working in EdTech environments
