Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior SEO/GEO/AIO to lead a high-growth global EdTech organization into its next phase of expansion and sustained profitability.
Most companies treat SEO as a traffic function. We treat it as a revenue function. Every page we index, every AI overview we appear in, every organic lead that comes through maps to a regional pipeline and a measurable commercial outcome. Your north star is not keyword rankings or traffic volume. It is organic attributed to pipeline and revenue.
The search landscape has fundamentally shifted. A meaningful and growing share of decision-maker research now happens through AI generated summaries: Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and ChatGPT. Generative Engine Optimisation and AI Inclusion strategies are not theoretical for this role. They are a
core operational requirement. We need someone already built in this landscape.
TutorCloud already has an SEO resource in place. This role is being created at a more senior level because the international growth ambition demands someone who has built multi-country organic architecture from scratch and is already operating in the GEO and AIO space. The two roles serve different layers of the function.
Key Responsibilities
What You Will Own
- Full SEO architecture from day one, covering domain slug structure, internal linking, schema markup, regional hreflang implementation, and crawl health
- GEO strategy: structured content designed to appear prominently in Google AI Overviews and AI generated education research summaries
- AIO strategy: Perplexity, ChatGPT, and emerging LLM citation optimisation, building TutorCloud as a cited and trusted authority in K–12 AI education
- SEO agency management, including briefing, sprint prioritisation, and on-page and off-page delivery accountability. Strategy and IP live in-house; execution is outsourced.
- Direct collaboration with product and engineering on site architecture, page speed, crawlability, and URL structure decisions
- Full funnel organic revenue attribution, tracking organic contribution through to pipeline and closed schools, not traffic numbers
- Content brief production for the SEO agency, covering topic clusters, keyword architecture, and intent mapping
- Competitive organic intelligence to understand how TutorCloud’s content positions against category players in each market
Who You Are
- 6 to 9 years in SEO, with at least 2 years leading multi-market, multi-language organic growth strategies
- You have built regional slug or subdomain structures for international websites and can explain the strategic and technical tradeoffs from real experience
- GEO and AIO are not new to you. You have tested approaches and have a clear point of view on what actually works in AI generated search.
- Strong technical SEO depth across crawl diagnostics, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and server-side rendering implications. You can work directly with engineers.
- Full funnel organic attribution experience. You have measured organic contribution against revenue and pipeline, not just rankings.
- Experience in EdTech, education, or B2B SaaS SEO is a meaningful advantage
- Confident managing an SEO agency as a vendor. You set the brief, hold accountability, and do not let the agency define their own success metrics.
