Position Overview
The Vice President, Sales – will serve as a critical member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. This leader will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s sales vision, leading revenue generation efforts, scaling the sales organization, and building deep relationships across the K–12 education ecosystem while building and leading the field sales team.
The ideal candidate is a proven EdTech sales executive with a strong history of driving B2B SaaS growth, leading enterprise and district sales, and building disciplined, high-performing teams in dynamic, fast-growth environments. This role demands both strategic foresight and hands-on execution.
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute a comprehensive India sales strategy aligned with revenue goals, market priorities, and national expansion objectives.
- Own quarterly and annual bookings, pipeline development, forecast accuracy, and ARR growth targets.
- Build and manage a healthy, predictable pipeline across public school districts, charter networks, private schools, and strategic channel opportunities.
- Identify white-space opportunities, new customer segments, and scalable go-to-market motions that accelerate adoption of TutorCloud.AI solutions.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, lead, coach, and scale a high-performing sales team, including Sales Managers, Account Executives, Sales Development Representatives, Partnerships/Channel Managers, and bid-support resources as the team grows.
- Create a culture of accountability, performance, enablement, and continuous development supported by clear KPIs and operating rhythms.
- Mentor sales managers and individual contributors to strengthen consultative selling, territory planning, executive communication, and deal strategy.
- Partner with Revenue Operations to improve sales productivity, pipeline discipline, and forecasting rigor.
Enterprise & District Sales
- Lead high-value, complex sales cycles with K–12 public school districts, private institutions, charter organizations, and education stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships with superintendents, academic leaders, district administrators, procurement teams, and executive decision-makers.
- Navigate district buying cycles, budget constraints, compliance needs, procurement processes, and multi-stakeholder evaluation environments.
- Source, evaluate, and lead high-quality responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other formal procurement opportunities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Position TutorCloud.AI as a strategic investment that supports student achievement, equitable access, scalability, and instructional effectiveness.
Partnerships & Market Expansion
- Develop strategic relationships with education consultants, resellers, ecosystem partners, and industry influencers to expand market reach and revenue contribution.
- Represent TutorCloud.AI at major education and EdTech conferences, customer forums, executive roundtables, and market-facing industry events.
- Increase company visibility and thought leadership in the AI-for-education and K–12 innovation landscape.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, policy movements, and funding priorities that influence K–12 purchasing behavior.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Implementation, and Operations teams to align market demand with solution delivery and customer outcomes.
- Translate customer and field insights into actionable input for product roadmap decisions, positioning, messaging, and retention strategy.
- Partner with Marketing to strengthen account-based motions, demand generation effectiveness, event ROI, and brand credibility.
- Collaborate with Customer Success to support renewals, expansion opportunities, and measurable value realization for customers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Vice President of Sales or equivalent senior commercial leadership role within an EdTech organization.
- Demonstrated success in B2B SaaS sales with a record of meeting or exceeding multimillion-dollar revenue or quota targets.
- Deep experience selling into the K–12 education market, including public school districts, and private institutions.
- Strong track record of building, leading, and scaling high-performing sales teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Expertise in complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and consultative solution selling.
- Hands-on familiarity with modern sales tools and revenue systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, and analytics platforms.
- Excellent executive presence, negotiation capability, relationship-building skills, and written/verbal communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with AI-enabled education products, digital learning solutions, tutoring platforms, or outcomes-based education selling.
- Strong understanding of K–12 funding structures, district budget cycles, procurement processes, and education policy dynamics.
- Experience in venture-backed, startup, or scale-up environments where adaptability and execution speed are critical.
- Established professional network across the K–12, EdTech, or education procurement ecosystem.

- Improve forecast accuracy, sales process maturity, and team productivity.
- Strengthen market recognition for TutorCloud.AI as a credible and trusted AI learning partner in the education sector.
- Create a strong commercial foundation for long-term national growth.
